I was looking forward to this event because it is on maui with some sick conditions. It was a lot of fun with all the riders there to do all the tricks just big, and also the 5 meter waves were coming in nicely. So yeah the whole competition was a lot of fun and i won the single elimination against Robby Naish and in the second elimination i was up against him again. That heat was super awesome, i had so much fun riding together with ''god of the sport'' Robby and it was a great show. Judges gave it to me and i was super stoked.
Results main event ho'okipa:
1st: Ruben Lenten 2nd: Robby Naish 3th: Clinton Bolton
I also won the riders choice of this event...thanks!

Here in Italy we had the 7th stop of the PKRA and the wind was pretty light...I won the single elimination, i was riding my fuel 15 and 13 so it was not that windy. After a couple days no wind the wind came back on the last day only it just died after 3 quarters of the double elimination so i stayed in first place after beating Alvaro, Ettiene and Aaron hadlow...
This also gives me enough points to be in 2nd place overall, i'm happy

After a week of not much wind but the last day the wind kicked in...so we went trough the first elimination were i ended up second. Wind became stronger up to 30 knots and i had to ride against Rui Meira, i kicked his ass, he did pretty good and ended up 3th place. Then the double elimination final against Red Bull team bro Aaron Hadlow, i was overpowered on my 9 and he was on his 7. I was on fire, the first heat Aaron had some equipment trouble for a minute...So i took the lead and beat him the first time. I had to beat him twice so we had a ten minute break and then we had the second final heat. I stayed out on the water and was focused. Did some big airs and had fun... then the green flag went up and the battle begon. We both pulled out sick shit, and went big, powered and stylish...Came on the beach. and we had the pricegiving on the beach...they anounched i beated him the second time as well so i took first place for this event. It's good for my overall ranking. I'm happy

Ying Ying I did it, took the freestyle Xpression session @ the King of the Bay The king of the bay contest is one of the biggest events in California, last years king of the bay was my friend Aaron, the year before that, Andre Philip, a nice list to be in, this year. Boardercross was the major discipline, not my thing, but freestyle session was SWEET

Fuerte Ventura...yeah thats the thing...i mean the place, where the conditions are rough and hardcore, off-shore, gusty and strong.
So i arrived there 2 days before the competition, all good, windy but my boardbag with all my shit in it was not there. Really pissed off talking to the lost and found on the airport but they didn't know where my boardbag could be. i thought ok i still have two days so it will be there before the comp. But not so i had to compete the first elimination on borrowed shit...which sucks! I like strong winds anyways so i went for it and catched a 3th place. After that i got a ring from the airport that my luggage was there. So next day i was all happy and could compete on my own stuff...made it all the way to the final but then my mate Aaron hadlow kicked my ass....congratulations dude!
1. Aaron Hadlow 2. Ruben Lenten 3. Ettiene Lothe 4. Cesar Portas

PKRA Cabarete was always great and good wind but this time the wind dropped for the first 3 days and the last 2 days we had a little 13-14 knots coming in so we were on our 13 meters... . The first elimination my focus was not so good and i lost against rookie from Holland Youri Zoon who was ripping it up. So i ended up 5th. Second day time for the double elimination i won my first heat and lost my second heat against my cousin Kevin Langeree...which sucks, hahaha congrats bro! After all i came in 7th which is not good, so i learned to stay focused and i'm gonna go for it!

Austria...NO COMMENTS!!!
hahahaha no joking, Austria was good fun with only one day wind, but we runned the whole event in it. 4 days of 25 degrees which is pretty good for Austria, so parties and chill sessions where nice.
Competition on the last day was kind of hectic...it was gusty and i used from 7m up to 13m and so choppy out there. A thousands of windsurfers straight trought the competition area, sucks. I bacame fifth which is ok but not my goal so i'm pretty stoked to do better next time.

18-4-2005 0:0:0, Isla Coche, Venezuela, 3th freestyle and 1st in sliderpark
The first tourstop of the PKRA was this year the beautiful island El Coche, which is an island by Isla Margarita. The wind was super steady and of shore which gives a unique flat water to this spot. So the competition was going really well and had a lot of fun. First i became 3th in the freestyle event which was awesome. Further they built up a cool slider park with some sliders and kickers. I never did it before and tried it 10 days and after 6 days i finally could get over the sliders. A few days later there was the slider competition and i entered. I took 1st place and now i'm stoked to ride the sliders more.

My first PKRA win! Brazil is a beautiful location to kite, with good winds and nice temperatures. It turned out to be a super event for me! In the first elimination, the current World Champion Aaron Hadlow kicked me out in the semi finals. Still got third by winning over Ethien Lothe.
In the double elimination, I got a chance to fight back AND I DID first took out Joseph Carniero, then my teammate Portas, then my other teammate Gianni on to a final against... Aaron Hadlow... Another clash of the titans First heat I won... So a third final heat would decide who would win this event... Again I WON!!!! INCREDIBLE. My first PKRA win! beating the world champ twice... Sorry Aaron, you rock
A dream coming true and my family on the beach to enjoy the moment with me... Can it ever get better than this....

14-10-2004 0:0:0, Australia, 1st
Just came back from a great competition in Perth, Australia!! I became 1st but not like that because i had to kick some people out for that... 1st round i was against Israelian guy Ofri Argov and i won that heat, so 2nd round i was against Mark Doyle from America, with a good heat i advanced the next round. That was against the upcoming from the losersround the local guy Jacob who ride for Slingshot too and after i won this heat i was against worldchampion and good friend Aaron Hadlow, this year i rode like 5 times to him and every time i lost so now was the chance to beat him. But we both had a good heat and we had to wait for the judges for like 15 minutes and we where both very nervious and then they said i won very closely so i was very very happy so i was in the final. The final was against Australian dude Daniel Waltstep (Balls) and i won the final so i won the event.
I'm looking forward to Gravity Games 2005!!!
I was very stoked and want to thanks the organizers from the event and sponsors, so thanks!
end result: 1st: Ruben Lenten (Netherlands) 2nd: Daniel Waltstep (Oz) 3th: Aaron Hadlow (Uk) 4th: Adam Rytejewski (Oz)

It was a really nice trip with some good action. The competition at Sotavento was great with some really strong winds the results ended up like: 1st: Martin Vari 2nd: Aaron Hadlow 3th: Etienne Lothe 4th: Ruben Lenten
highlights: *Aaron Hadlow lost two kites in the final against Martin Vari. *Martin Vari made a huge crash with his kite in the water while he was hanging 5 meters in the air. *To much huge chrashes which is funny to see. *Aaron Hadlow had already enough points to be world champion 2004. *Sky Solbach did sick kiteloops again. *Some riders sprayed the security boat during their heat. *I got kicked out of the hotel and there was a huge foodfight going on. *The parties were top! *Manu Taub is the strongest guy ever with 6 cops on him and still standing with pepperspray in his eyes. *Aaron was drinking wodka and i was spitting wodka which makes the difference.
It was a great event and Martin congratulations! Aaron you're number one for 2004, congratulations! You're ripping...

Up until the semi's all went fine!In the semi's I was up against Aaron Hadlow. We both sticked some crazy tricks and were side by side in points, untill Aaron threw out a kiteloop handlepass. Crazy and new stuff, which I needed to throw out to. However I didn't stick it and had to let Aaron proceed to the finals. Which he won... In the loosers final I took out Andre who had a lame heat... so Nice 3rd place after all

It was going well untill i came up against Martin Vari he was a bit to strong for me at that moment. Not a shame to loose from so i was very happy with my 5th place
