Thanks for dropping by at my website! my name is Ruben Lenten, I am
a Professional kiteboarder and at this website you can follow my
progress in the world of kiteboarding! 2004 gave me a lot of joy and
many good results. Brazil gave me my first PKRA WorldCup victory. My PKRA World ranking climbed to a great 3rd place in
2004. You can check the resultspage to see how I got there and what
other big events I entered...
Over 2005, I had even more fun and more success in the competitions. The last 5 events I won! Red Bull King of the air, PKRA Worldcups, all great moments! Overall second place was my world tour result. In 2006 I was held back by some hard lessons in what a human body can take. Riding hard, can take it's toll and I had some injuries to cope with. But the determination to stay at the cutting edge of the extreme just got stronger. Kiteboarding is my life, riding hard is my style and 2006 and 2007 has brought me succes again. Not only in the competitions, but surely, in riding at the most extreme conditions and having it captured on video for the world to see, what kiteboarding can be, my passion, the power, the extacy... check it out, so much more to explore...
Besides riding my kites professionally and hardstyle... I have some
cool plans for the future!
About LEN10
In 2004 we came up with the name LEN10 as my family name is Lenten. I came up with a logo which I drew myself, but as of 2007 we’ve changed the logo to make it a little more professional. Look out for the next phase for development which should see the final logo being launched in 2008.
As I’ll be using my logo working on some unique LEN10 products with my sponsors Slingshot and Mystic.
It’s thanks to all my sponsors that I can work on and with things I love, develop new things and give input on what feels best in full action. Giving feedback is cool, but what's even better is seeing the ideas actually work!
Slingshot
Together with Slingshot we’ve launched the LEN10 Lunacy 129x39 kiteboard. It totally exceeded mine and others expectations as the board totally kicks ass!
The Lunacy features a "Future Response Technology" core which is super strong and light weight. The board gives great pop because of it’s wide and square tips and the greatly balanced flex of the FRT core. At first you might have to get used to it because of loads of tip power, so you’ve got to ride it a bit more on the backfoot and really dig it in. Once you’re used to it - you’ll enjoy all the benefits with landings and take-offs.
Mystic
Together with Mystic we’re working on some great stuff as well. All the hardware is kicking more ass every year. We develop so fast and they’ve recently announced that they will bring out a clothing line…
I can also design and develop my own wetsuit and some clothing, how great!?
The wetsuit will be a white one, as it’s different and looks good. I love to be different and rock hard.
The clothing will have some fun, weird and hardcore stylish design in it.
